Three women are in the foreground (two adults and a young child). Directly across from them are three former male convicts.
A prayer service lead by the three men are given most mornings prior to the opening of the Men's Central Jail in Los Angeles. They give support and hope to the many women affected by such terrible circumstances.
This image brings forth the harsh reality of who really suffers, the family: wives, sisters, mothers, and children.
